Teaching Postions

We are looking for qualified teachers to teach/ tutor the following subjects 

from KS3 to A level:

  • Computer Science
  • Science
  • English Language and/or Literature
  • History
  • Spanish/ French/ German


The work is flexible/ part-time and mostly in the afternoons and evenings although 

we do have small classes that run during the day.


You will need or be willing to get:

  • all relevant certificates of your qualifications
  • an up-to-date enhanced DBS
  • an up-to-date Safeguarding certificate

Invigilators

We are looking for invigilators to assist during the May/June 2020 exam period at our St Albans centre - this would be a part-time role.


You will need or be willing to get:

  • an up-to-date enhanced DBS
  • an up-to-date Safeguarding certificate


You will also need to undergo invigilation (re)training which we will provide.


You should have good oral and written communication skills and be able to work well within a team, with strong interpersonal skills. You should also have excellent organisational skills and be able to demonstrate the following abilities:

  • To understand and apply detailed written instructions, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • To concentrate and work quickly under pressure, for several hours at a time
  • To understand how to maintain confidentiality
  • To use initiative in response to unexpected situations
  • To be aware and committed to equal opportunities and diversity
  • To keep up to date with relevant JCQ regulations and procedures
  • To work to strict deadlines
  • To be IT literate
  • Leadership skills (senior invigilator)
  • To be able to maintain strict discipline standards and to be firm but fair (senior invigilator)

Special Educational Needs Coordinator

We are seeking a qualified SEN Assessor and Coordinator for a part-time role with the potential to expand.


Your role would initially include:

  • conducting independent assessments for Access Arrangements
  • reviewing reports and applications for external exam candidates
  • making decisions as to whether applicants are entitled to their requested Access Arrangements

 

Successful applicants will most likely:

  • be familiar with the JCQ 'Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments' booklet
  • have some experience/ be familiar with Access Arrangements Online
  • have some experience conducting independent assessments
  • be familiar with JCQ's Form 8
  • have experience of or are in an existing SENCO role


You will need or be willing to get:

  • an up-to-date enhanced DBS
  • an up-to-date Safeguarding certificate
  • evidence of your qualifications
